No Tears in Heaven | Anthony Edwards
If you grew up in or around the Bible Belt; you had an increased chance to consistently hear gospel songs in a southern gospel, country or bluegrass theme that reminded the listener about our beautiful Heavenly Home, the presence of Jesus, streets of gold, and more. Songs like, “In the Sweet by and by”, “Will the Circle be Unbroken?”, “Amazing Grace”, and “How Great Thou Art”.
The Apostle John wrote 4 books of the New Testament (John, 1 John, 2 John, 3 John, and Revelation). In his writing, he presented the Deity of Jesus; while the other gospel writers presented Jesus from a Jewish, Gentile or all nations understanding.
The Book of Revelation was written during his time of imprisonment on the Isle of Patmos. The Apostle John is the only Apostle to have been known to die a natural death. The MacArthur Study Bible (NASB) presents an outline for the Book of Revelation as being in 3 parts: “The Things which You Have Seen”, “The Things which Are”, and “The Things which Will Take Place after These Things”.
Let's learn together today, about how the Apostle John described our heavenly home. The New Heaven, the New Earth, the New Jerusalem.
